It was near this time of year that ConvertForms was first launched with its first 0.1.0 release. An extension which introduced me to the world of form design and building combined with the emergent need for each Joomla website to increase its subscriber base elegantly. A subscriber base which is the foundation of any Conversion Optimization Strategy.
As all of my extensions, ConvertForms came to be due to the fact that I also needed to have a tool that would help me create great-looking forms with minimal coding knowledge, as they were aimed at clients. I have to say that it was certainly an adventure and I got quite a lot out of the whole process of optimizing the form builder while simultaneously maintaining a plethora of functionalities for every form. For what it's worth, I have grown to have a lot of respect for the developers of page builders and form builders out there.
Why did I focus on Conversion
Well, first and foremost, Conversion Optimization is a personal passion. There is a very strong and very unique sense of accomplishment when you find out that the little change that you do here and there can boost your sales immensely. It's almost like magic!
Of course the conversion element in ConvertForms is focused around the ability to gather emails and sync them across an extensive collection of Email Marketing Services such as MailChimp, GetResponse, ActiveCampaign and many more. Being able to be in touch with your visitors through newsletters or personal emails is one of the strongest tools in your CRO Toolbox and ConvertForms excels at that.
The path from version 0.1.0 to present
ConvertForms has had a new release almost every month since it launched accumulating a total of 13 releases so far. All of them filled with requested functionalities and integrations as the need to satisfy an ever-expanding subscriber base never stopped to rise.
The Integrations with Email Marketing Services and CRMs are now 15! This has proven to be quite a task due to the fact that ConvertForms relies on the APIs of third-party services hence the factor of uncertainty is high. I have setup an entire infrastructure just to keep up-to-date with API changes from all these services and I fully intent to keep adding more and more in the collection to satisfy all of you who have sent me requests upon requests for new integrations.
All in all, I'll let the numbers tell you the truth so far and leave the jibber jabber aside!
- 13 packed releases in 12 months
- 15 seamless Integrations with Email Marketing Services
- 10 premade finely tuned form templates
- 800+ active subscribers

- 250+ support tickets answered
- 25 great reviews on JED

ConvertForms has a long road ahead of it! A road filled with new features, new integrations, even better looking forms and more field types to satisfy even the most niche needs out there.
