Disable Submission Storage
If you want to reduce the amount of personal data stored on your Joomla site, Convert Forms allows you to disable submission storage for each form. This is useful for GDPR-focused workflows where you only need to receive form submissions by email and do not want Convert Forms to keep a copy in the database.
How to Disable Submission Storage
- Go to Components > Convert Forms > Forms.
- Edit the form you want to configure.
- Open the Submission tab.
-
Disable the
Save Submission Data in Databasetoggle.
- Save the form.
From now on, new submissions from this form will not be saved in Convert Forms.
Can I Still Receive Submissions by Email?
Yes. Disabling saving submissions does not prevent Convert Forms from sending email notifications.
You can still configure your form to send the submitted data to an administrator, site owner, or user by email, while preventing Convert Forms from saving the submitted data in the database.
What About Existing Submissions?
This setting only applies to new submissions.
If your form already has stored submissions, they will remain in your site until you delete them manually from Components → Convert Forms → Submissions.
