Textbox Field

A single-line input field for short text entries like names, titles, or custom responses.

The Textbox is the default Convert Forms field for short, free-form answers on a single line, like a name, a subject, or a reference number.

It accepts any text. When an answer needs a specific format, use a dedicated field instead: Email Address for emails, Website / URL for links, or Number for digits.

You can set a placeholder, a default value, and an input mask to guide what visitors type.

How to add a Textbox Field

  1. Log into your Joomla backend.
  2. Go to Components → Convert Forms → Forms.
  3. Create a new form or edit an existing one.
  4. In the form builder, click Add Field.
  5. Select Textbox from the field list.
  6. Configure the field's settings.
  7. Save the form.
